The Sheridan Police Department along with the Grant County Sheriff's Office will be participating in a statewide enforcement. From Friday, August 21 until Monday, September 7, our officers will be conducting highly visible traffic enforcement focusing on DWI violations. Our officers will also be looking for speeding violations, seatbelt violations, and distracted driving. This is all in an effort to help reduce the number of accidents on our roadways.

The Sheridan Detention Center is currently accepting applications for MALE and FEMALE jailers. Must be 18 years of age or older, have high school diploma or GED equivalent, and must pass a criminal background and drug screen. Benefits include: a competitive salary, paid employee insurance, vacation time, sick time, and paid holidays. Applications can be picked up at 304 Gatzke Dr., Sheridan, AR.

From Friday, July 10, through Friday, July 31, our officers will be conducting highly visible traffic enforcement focusing on Speeding violations. Our officers will also be looking for DWI violations, seatbelt violations, and distracted driving. This is all in an effort to help reduce the number of accidents on our roadways.

From Wednesday, July 1, through Sunday, July 5, our officers will be conducting highly visible traffic enforcement focusing on DWI violations. Our officers will also be looking for speeding violations, seatbelt violations, DWI, and distracted driving. This is all in an effort to help reduce the number of accidents on our roadways.

The newly formed Sheridan Police Association has presented their first scholarship award to a deserving local high school senior. This year’s scholarship award recipient is Steven Robinowitz. The Association has plans to award more scholarships to deserving individuals in the future helping them obtain their life goals. Congratulations Steven!
