Goose Valley Fire is on scene of a semi rollover on I90 just past exit 20 in the EB. All traffic is being diverted through town and will be for an extended period of time. WYDOT will advise when this portion of I90 is open again.

Yesterday at 12:10, Goose Valley was requested for assistance with a wildland fire near Decker, Montana. Brush 201 and Brush 208 responded.
While on scene at Decker, at 13:03, Goose Valley was requested for assistance by Clearmont Fire District for a wildland fire at the end of Cat Creek Road in Sheridan County. Brush 208 responded from the scene in Decker and Brush 203, Tender 207 and Engine 204 responded from the station. Brush 201 joined at Cat Creek approximately an hour and a half later after clearing from Decker. All Goose Valley units were cleared and back in service at 18:30.

Goose Valley spent the evening yesterday on the Lumin Fire. Brush 208 was tasked with strengthening containment lines by conducting back burn operations, starting at the heel of the fire near residences then transitioning to the head of the fire. Goose Valley went en route at 14:00 and returned to the station at 02:00 this morning.

Goose Valley spent the early morning hours assisting Clearmont Fire District with the SR-Buffalo Fire which resulted in a good sunrise shot of Brush 208 and Brush 201. Goose Valley went en route at 00:32 and returned to the station at 09:00.

Today at 13:54, Goose Valley was paged to a report of a wildland fire at 1159 Big Goose Road. Due to the close proximity to the forest boundary, the Forest Service was contacted and quickly launched a nearby helicopter. The fire was contained at 1 acre.
While in mop up, Goose Valley was paged to an additional wildland fire at 6536 Bighorn Avenue. This fire was contained at 1/4 acres.

Yesterday at 16:25, Goose Valley was paged to a report of a wildland fire at 1478 Decker Road. Upon arrival in the area, the fire was determined to be off Frisbie Road on the east side of the Tongue River.
Weather at the time of dispatch was 107 degrees, 7% relative humidity and 26 mph winds.
Additional resources were requested including brush trucks, tenders, blades and air support.
Personnel were able to stop forward progress of the fire and a blade line was constructed around the perimeter. Two SEATs made a total of four retardant drops to help bolster containment lines. Final mapped perimeter of the fire was 34.3 acres.
The Wyoming Smokebusters (a type 2 handcrew) will be on scene today to continue mop up operations.
