A dozen of First United Bank’s finest employees volunteered at the ReStore, Habitat for Humanity of Grayson County this week. They weeded beds and sowed pollinator-attractive seeds. Inside, they organized and decorated, getting ready for the ReStore’s 8th birthday party on Saturday, June 27. Join us at 3822 N Frisco Road, Sherman from 11 am - 1 pm for a free hamburger and hot dog lunch. Thanks, First United Bank, for all the ways you serve our community!

We say it all the time: Habitat for Humanity starts, builds, and completes homes only because of the generosity of our supportive community! Clair Jenkins received a signed Bible and the keys to her new home, presented by board member Kristina DuBois Franklin, during a special dedication ceremony, surrounded by friends, volunteers, family, donors, and supporters. She and her family will move in soon and begin making affordable mortgage payments. Thank you, thank you, friends!

Don't forget; green side up! These Texas Instruments volunteers made quick work of laying a beautiful carpet of grass at Clair Jenkins' house in Sherman, thanks to a generous donation from Kelly Sod Farm. We appreciate you, Travis, Sam, Alexsandra, Kelly, and Ryan! Clair's house at 208 N. Harrison Avenue will be dedicated on Friday, May 8 at 8:00 a.m. Please join us!

Austin College 'Roos are everywhere! For the last two weekends, AC GreenServe students and staff have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. First, they weeded, prepared, and planted flowerbeds that host a Monarch Way Station at ReStore, Habitat for Humanity of Grayson County. Thousands of pollinators will visit throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Last Saturday, AC and Habitat for Humanity volunteers worked with Texas Ramp Project to build the bases for 20 wheelchair ramps. Thank you, Austin College Service Station and , for your service!
