Dangerous Winter Weather has hit our county over the weekend, bringing with it ice, snow, and extreme cold. After contacting your insurance company:

Please report your winter storm-related damage online here: damage.tdem.texas.gov

After following the link, click on “January 22nd - Winter Weather”

This will help us accurately assess the damage these storms have done to our community and define our next steps.

Please be careful tonight and in the morning as things refreeze. Many streets are still very treacherous.

Please be careful tonight and in the morning as things refreeze. Many streets are still very treacherous.

We know this stretch has been wearing on everyone. Kids at home, routines disrupted, and a lot of people simply ready for this to be over.

Patrol officers are seeing some improvement across the city, but conditions remain uneven. Some roads, like Highway 75, are in better shape, while many local and residential streets are still icy or narrowed.

As late as this afternoon, we still saw cars spun out or stuck in different spots around town.

This in-between phase is misleading. What looks passable in one area can still be slick in the next.

We appreciate everyone’s patience. We know this has been a long week.
