🎉✨ COLORFUL MINDZ CREATIONS IS BACK — AND WE’RE OFF AND RUNNING! ✨🎉
We’re already kicking off WEEK THREE, and our classrooms are buzzing! New students, new skills, new projects, new opportunities…and a whole lot happening at Colorful Mindz Creations! 💜💚💙
🚗 MEALS ON WHEELS — WE’RE BACK!
Our students were back out in the community today delivering Meals on Wheels — and they did an AWESOME job! 🙌 Tomorrow, students from our sister classroom will take their turn delivering meals! We love seeing both classrooms getting out into our community, serving others, and putting real-world skills into action. ❤️
After Labor Day, we’ll also resume our activities with Art Works and Legacy Bible.
But trust us…we’re definitely not sitting around until then! 😄
🏦 We’re learning a brand-new banking system and practicing real-world money skills with budgets and transaction records.
📝 We’re working on job applications and building the skills our students need for employment.
🛍️ We’re restocking Colorful Mindz Creations with NEW items, NEW images, and we will have our updated inventory and pricing posted soon!
🖨️ Our returning students are helping teach our new students the ropes on our program jobs, 3D printing, and Cricut — because one of the best ways to learn is to teach someone else!
☕ COMING SOON: Our very own coffee & tea cart!
🧁 And our sister classroom is getting in on the fun by creating yummy baked goods to add to the mix!
And speaking of new beginnings… WELCOME TO OUR NEW ACES FAMILY MEMBERS! 🎉
We’re thrilled to welcome two new students to our classroom and two new students to our sister classroom!
We’re also excited to welcome teachers Ms. Gibson, Mr. Speed, and their new para, Mr. Dunn! We’re looking forward to a fantastic year working, learning, creating, and growing together. ❤️
🚌 And YES…we have a few FIELD TRIPS in the works this year, too! 👀 Stay tuned!

🌟 PARENTS WE ALSO NEED YOU! 🌟
Parent and family involvement is crucial to student success! At home, please talk with your student about the skills they are learning, such as being responsible, listening, following directions, communicating clearly, managing money, completing job applications, practicing interviews, and working as part of a team.
Encourage them to practice everyday job skills, including making a bed, doing laundry, washing dishes, preparing simple meals, organizing supplies, cleaning, completing a checklist, and arriving on time.
Families can practice flash cards with money amounts, coins and bills, time, workplace and job application vocabulary, community signs, safety rules, and personal information. You can even conduct practice interviews by asking questions such as, “Tell me about yourself,” “What are your strengths?” “Why would you be a good employee?” “How do you handle a difficult task?” and “What would you do if you needed help?”
These simple conversations and activities help build confidence, independence, communication, and workplace readiness. Every opportunity to practice at home helps our students grow!
