Many property crimes are committed by criminals who are looking for easy targets. Something that they can get in and out of quickly. An unlocked door or window with valuables visible to someone on the outside is extremely tempting. Get in the habit of completing the 9 PM Routine! 🔒💡👀

Report any suspicious activity to 501-835-1425 and call 911 for emergencies.

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far! Sergeant Akins wanted to fill you in on the 9PM Routine. We challenge you to complete your 9 PM routine tonight!

💰 Make sure to remove valuables from your cars. Think about your phone, wallet, keys, money, credit cards, and jewelry.
💡 Turn on any lights around the outside of your house.
📸 Invest in a security camera if you’re able to. If you already have one, make sure it’s functioning correctly.
🔒 Lock your car doors and home!
👀 If you see something, say something! Call 911 for emergencies and 501-835-1425 for non-emergencies.

The City of Sherwood would like to remind residents that door-to-door solicitation by businesses requires a valid City-issued solicitation permit.

At this time, there is only one active solicitation permit on file, issued to Weston Kelly with Edward Jones, which expires on June 19.

The City was recently made aware of reports involving individuals presenting what appeared to be an altered solicitation permit. Residents are encouraged to exercise caution and verify permits before engaging with solicitors.

**Please note that churches, religious organizations, and individuals running for public office are not required to obtain a solicitation permit**.

If a business representative comes to your door, you can verify whether they have an active permit by visiting the City of Sherwood website and navigating to **Doing Business in Sherwood**, where current permit holders are listed.

If you encounter individuals soliciting without a valid permit, please contact the Sherwood Police Department Non-Emergency Line at 501-835-1425 and provide:
• A description of the individual(s)
• Their location
• The nature of the solicitation

Thank you for helping us keep our community informed and safe.
