FYI! Road Work!

Sherwood Public Works Department: Road Closure Announcement

The Sherwood Public Works Department will close Jacksonville Cutoff Road to thru traffic between Beth Drive and Hwy 107 for necessary culvert replacement on Wednesday, October 16th, Thursday, October 17th, and Friday, October 18th. The road will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

Work Schedule:
• Wednesday, October 16th: Culvert replacement and backfilling with gravel (road reopens by 5:00 p.m.).
• Thursday, October 17th, and Friday, October 18th: Shoulder stabilization and asphalt repairs.
Access Information:
• West side of the repair: Access from Hwy 107 will be maintained.
• East side of the repair: Access is available only from the east via Jacksonville Cutoff.
• A detour route will be in place using Gibson Road and Cedaridge Drive. See attached map.

Starting October 23 2023, the Gravel Ridge Fire Department will be out on the roadways and in the neighborhoods Servicing and flushing Hydrants. You may notice a color change in your tap water following the water main flushing.

Noise Alert: The training will begin and conclude Saturday, March 04, 2023.

Expect to hear loud booms associated with this training.

The noise and associated sounds are likely to carry outside Camp Robinson’s perimeter and may potentially cause concern in the communities and surrounding areas beyond the borders of the post.

We understand that some aspects of ongoing military training creates disruptive noise and ground vibration concerns. And, as a concerned partner, the we endeavor to keep our neighbors near the post informed when such external effects can be expected.

Through our training, and the continued support of our communities, the Arkansas National Guard and our collocated sister service organizations can continue to make positive contributions to the safety and security of our State and Nation.

F.Y.I-Gravel Ridge Fire District Residents Starting Oct.17 Engine 72 Crews will be out doing Hydrants Maintenance which consists of Greasing and flowing the plug. This will also stir up a settlement that will cause cloudy water.
