Shidler Volunteer Fire And Ambulance Shidler Fire was started around 1925 the fire dept took over the ambulance in 1973. Today we have 14 firefighters 5 are national and state register EMTs.

Your local fire department spent the evening training! A soon to be torn down structure was utilized for breaching doors and windows, search, low light operations, and how to advance a hose line through a structure. Our new recruits also learned how to wear an SCBA, about water flow, and how the trucks operate. (Please note the structure was not burned during this training.)
