For 17 years, Tom McClintock has treated women’s healthcare as a political target. While families across our district struggle with rising medical costs and shrinking rural health clinics, McClintock has consistently voted to strip women of their fundamental rights.

Look at his actual voting record:
--Blocking Contraception Access: McClintock voted NAY on the Right to Contraception Act (H.R. 8373), actively opposing federal safeguards that protect a woman’s right to access basic birth control.
--Banning Abortion Nationwide: He voted NAY on the Women’s Health Protection Act (H.R. 3755 / H.R. 8296), which aimed to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law and protect patients from extreme state-level bans.
--Defunding Essential Healthcare: He supported federal spending packages designed to strip funding from providers like Planned Parenthood, preventing thousands of women from accessing life-saving cancer screenings, STI testing, and affordable preventative care.

Politicians have no business standing between a patient and their doctor. Our community deserves a representative who trusts women, protects reproductive freedom, and expands access to rural healthcare.

I’m ready to do the work.

Wednesday Sep 2, 1pm, pacific time. Sign up to hear these speakers tell their stories as they fight for working families. If you can’t attend then, you can get the recording if you sign up.

Populist messaging. An economy for working people. Reaching across the aisle.

Join us next Wednesday, Sept 2 at 4 pm ET for a candid conversation with two progressives who came to politics from the ground up:

Ethan Sweetland-May — a garbage man turned politician

Dr. Rashida Harrison — first-gen college grad, mom, and college teacher

Both are fighting for policies that actually help working families, from every background and every zip code. Come hear how they talk about it, and who they’re trying to reach.

Truth! Don’t rural areas deserve and need internet access just as much as city/ suburban? If you agree, then let your vote in November reflect that. Please pass it on! You have friends and neighbors who haven’t heard about Michael Masuda for CD5 yet.

Tom McClintock has spent 16 years in Washington doing absolutely nothing for rural California.

While the modern economy races ahead, families, students, and small businesses across the 5th District are left stranded with third-world internet speeds or no connection at all. Fast, reliable broadband isn’t a luxury; it’s a modern necessity as fundamental as electricity.

McClintock routinely votes against vital infrastructure investments, actively killing opportunities to bridge the digital divide. He shrugs off the needs of the Sierra foothills, the Eastern Sierra, and Central Valley, treating our communities as invisible afterthoughts until he needs your vote.

Enough Excuses. Enough inaction.

McClintock collects a taxpayer salary while voting against the very infrastructure funding that would modernize our local economy.

By ignoring the digital divide, he is suffocating local small businesses, blocking telehealth access, and abandoning our students.

We don't need a career politician who stands in the way of progress. We need a representative who will actually fight to connect rural California to the modern world. After 16 years of failure, change is long overdue.
