The Resident Senior Herd Sire of Valley View Genetics -
NUMBER 1 among active Angus sires for $Combined value index, Enterprise came to Valley View as the $23,000 second high-selling bull of the 2019 Sunny Slope sale in Minnesota and this son of the ORIgen $Combined value index cornerstone and 2019 and 2020 ORIgen sales leader SydGen Enhance was produced by the dam that is sired by a top son of the ORIgen legendary Pathfinder Sire Hoover Dam.
Enterprise was produced as a heifer’s first calf and with the AHIR data from her third calf, the dam of Enterprise was named a 2021 Pathfinder Dam with three calves recording an average weaning ratio of 109 to continue the tradition of her Pathfinder Dam that has six calves with an average weaning ratio of 110. The Angus Pathfinder Report is the “gold standard” for identifying Angus dams that balance a high level of fertility with a high level of weaning productivity placing a high level of emphasis on early puberty, early breeding and early calving within their contemporary group, followed by regularity of calving and above-average performance of their offspring.
As Enterprise has developed, he has followed the maturity pattern of his famous and widely-used sire, increasing his visual volume and capacity and arriving at ORIgen on November 3, 2020 weighing 2,130 pounds in a 6.5 body condition score assigned by the ORIgen veterinarian, measuring 59.5 inches tall with a scrotal measure of 42 centimeters at just over 30 months of age and he has also followed the high fertility production path of his sire with 542 units of high quality semen from his first two collections at ORIgen.
With 32 progeny genomic tested as of this writing in the Sunny Slope and Valley View programs, Enterprise has consistently come to the very top of the active sires in the American Angus Association database for $Combined value index and $Beef value index and he many of his early genomic-tested progeny exceed parent average pedigree predictions by a significant margin!
