This year, on June 4th, starting at 7:00 pm, the Oswayo Valley Memorial Library will be participating in the NEPA (Northeastern Pennsylvania) Gives yearly giving day event. NEPA Gives allows donors to donate to their favorite local nonprofit across 13 counties of Northeastern PA, or any of the nonprofits listed for the event. Once the event begins, donations can be made online or by phone. We will post the website link once the event is open. NEPA Gives runs from 7:00 pm on June 4th through 7:00 pm on June 5th. To kick off this event and celebrate summer, the library is hosting a live event on Friday, June 5th. Starting at 11:00 am, we will have food, make & take crafts, and live music performed from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, by local Justin Wheeler, also known as Campfire Ju**ie. We hope you will consider supporting us! Thank you!

It's almost time for registration to start for our 2026 Summer Reading programs! But first, we want to share something different we are trying this year to help with programming costs. We have these Sponsor A Summer Reader postcards at the circulation desk. You can adopt two readers for $25, five readers for $50, ten readers for $75, or any other donation amount. These funds will be put towards our summer reading costs. If there are any remaining funds at the end of Summer Reading, they will be put towards other programs. Any questions, please call the library at 814-697-6691. Thank you for your continued support!
