Update:
The Navajo Police Department has a suspect in custody in connection with the Wells Fargo Bank robbery that occurred on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Window Rock, Arizona.
At approximately at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022, Navajo Police Department, Navajo Criminal Investigations, Gallup City Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations received an anonymous tip that the suspect on the flyer was identified as Emilio Gonzales. He was located and arrested without incident in Gallup, New Mexico.
Navajo Police Department would like to thank the community for their efforts in reporting leads, as the investigation continued and we extend our gratitude for assistance from other law enforcement agencies.
WINDOW ROCK, Ariz.- On September 16, 2022, at approximately 11:46 a.m., Navajo Police Department responded to a silent alarm at the Wells Fargo Bank, located in Window Rock, A.Z. On their arrival, the officers confirmed with employees the bank was robbed. The suspect fled the area on foot. The NPD, Navajo Department of Criminal Investigations and Apache County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigations in this incident.
The person of interest is approximately five feet, nine inches in height, medium build, wearing a black ball cap, black sweater, white t-shirt, white shorts and black shoes. He was seen carrying a black bag with a bright green single shoulder strap. The person of interest left the scene and was seen running from the location.
