Book Review of Breaking Faith by E.Graziani rated 3 out of 5 stars by Charlie

Breaking Faith was about an addict who suffered drug and mental abuse, family problems and bullying. Even though she struggled throughout most of her life as a middle child, she chose the right path to go to rehab. Although she knew it was the right thing to do, at times she would give up because of issues such as being homeless in the winter. Drugs were her escape from reality. Eventually she finds love and happiness which was something she has never experienced throughout her childhood. The characters in this book are: Faith, Connie, Destiny, Lacey(Mother), and Grandma. The plot of this book is that Faith wants to find happiness because every time something bad happens throughout her life such as Connie leaving and her Mother going to Toronto then her mother died. Faith tried doing drugs to see if that will help her take her mind off of all the things that happened. And then she enjoyed it and became a person in the streets addicted to he**in. My favorite character in the book is Connie because she tries to give joy to Faith and Destiny throughout the book especially when there’s bad times and that’s what an older sibling is supposed to do to their younger sibling.

The people that would enjoy this book is the people who enjoy young adult fiction. If they like things that could or can happen in reality and drama.

My least favorite part of the book is when Faith's mother dies because when Faith was at the funeral she started cussing of how people were reacting.Faith said it sounded like a party. And I felt like it was really unnecessary.

The reason why I chose this book was because of the title. The summary on the back of the book was also interesting.

Book Review of Life in a Fishbowl by Len Vlahos reviewed by Maria and rated 4 out of 5 stars

In the book "Life in a Fish Bowl" by Len Vlahos, a very tragic event occurs. The main character Jackie Stone has an amazing bond with her father Jared Stone. She felt like her father was the only person that didn't judge her and that he understood her better than anyone else. When Jackie's father becomes distant, Jackie blames herself and wants to know what she did and later she finds out that her father has developed a inoperable brain tumor and he only has a few months to live. Jared immediately sells his life on eBay. The winner of the bid was a television director who turns the Stone's family tragedy into a reality television show. The family at first didn't mind being stars on televisions until are attacked physically. This family goes through so much and this book really makes you feel how tragic their life is becoming. This book is hard to keep up with because the point of view keeps shifting from one character to the next, but if you stay focused it all makes sense. This book truly emphasizes how tragic terminal illnesses are for families. This book taught me not to take anyone for granted because you never know what can happen to them.

An abundance of young adults would enjoy this book because this book keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. You can never predict what's going to occur next so it drives you to continue reading to find out.

My favorite part of this book was the relationship that Jackie shared with her father. I think it's so unfortunate that he had developed a terminal illness and it teaches the readers not to take their loved ones for granted. I also enjoyed how the book was constantly evolving and how you couldn't predict what was next.

I picked this book because when I read the back of the book it left me wondering what was going to happen. The cover of the book also got my attention because it's a house in a fish bowl. It made me wonder why the house was in the fish bowl and what it symbolized.

Book Review of Just Friends by Billy Taylor reviewed by Maria
Rated 3 out of 5 Stars

The two main characters of the novel "Just Friends" by Billy Taylor named August Bishop and Ethan Knight have been friends for a majority of their lives. They are now nineteen years old and attend college. A tragic accident occurs in this book. On the night of the accident, August and Ethan went to a party with their friend Max. Ethan was the only one of the three that drank alcohol that night. On the way home, they are hit by a truck and quickly Ethan was able to switch seats with August. By switching seats, Ethan had taken most of the impact and he was put into severe condition. His heart had even stopped in the ambulance. Ethan's passion in life has always been magic and the trick during the accident had been his best one to date. August has always been trying to figure out Ethan's tricks but he never reveals them to her. When August goes to the United States to become an actress, Ethan follows. Ethan ends up becoming a professional host at a magic show. Eventually in the end, Ethan and August finally realize their love for each other.

Young adults would really enjoy this book. This book can relate to many people and I think that is what makes it so enjoyable.

My favorite part was when Ethan followed August to the United States. That was my favorite part because I thought it foreshadowed them ending up together and it did. This part really emphasizes friendship and how we want the best for our friends because Ethan wanted to see August become a successful actress.

I chose this book because I feel like everyone has their own definition of being just friends with someone. I wanted to know if one person had friend zoned the other or if two characters were friends that fell in love.
