We would like to take a moment to remember one of our own. Charon, aka Bear. 9 years ago today Charon left us have a rigorous battle with cancer. Charon was the Shirley Police Department's first K9 Officer. He left a mark on our hearts forever. He is greatly missed but forever cherished.

We are honored to publicly recognize and extend our deepest gratitude to Darley for their exceptionally generous donation of a CJI Matrice M30, Drone. This remarkable contribution represents a significant investment in our mission and a powerful demonstration of your organization’s commitment to community impact and social responsibility.
The value of this donation goes far beyond its monetary worth. Access to high-quality, specialized resources such as this is often a major barrier for organizations like ours. Because of your support, we are now able to expand our capabilities, improve the quality of our services, and reach more individuals who depend on us. This contribution will directly enhance our ability to improve officer safety, enhance situational awareness, search and rescue capabilities, cost-effective operations, crime scene documentation, disaster response and management, public accountability and transparency, traffic monitoring and accident response, creating meaningful and lasting change.
What makes this gift especially meaningful is the spirit in which it was given. Your willingness to partner with us reflects a shared vision of making a difference and investing in the well-being of others. It is through collaborations like this that real progress is made, and stronger, more resilient communities are built.
We also recognize that such a generous donation requires thoughtful consideration, planning, and trust. Please know that we are committed to using this contribution responsibly and effectively to maximize its impact. Your confidence in our work inspires us to continue striving for excellence and innovation in everything we do.
On behalf of everyone at Shirley Police Department—including our team, stakeholders, and the individuals and families we serve—thank you for your extraordinary generosity. We are proud to acknowledge Darley as a valued partner and supporter, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful relationship in the future.
With sincere appreciation,
Shirley Police Department

March 15th is a date that many of us will never forget. It has been 2 years since Officer Fuhrman left us all. We lost a good Officer and a great friend. Zach was very well liked by many.
Remember Zach for who he was to you, not anything else.
