We have more new Soldiers that just recently got assigned after the 8th of February that I need to address so For those Soldiers, WELCOME to the 579th ICTC! Someone at the unit should've reached out to you already to tell you of your involuntary transfer or left a message on your phone but if not, I'm sending out MASS email in hopes of reaching everyone who is assigned as notice of your assignment for DEPLOYMENT with our unit.

Attached is our BA training calendar for FY 22. Please keep it handy for your employers/educational professors. Also attached is a copy of our Lodging Request that must be submitted every month of drill for each Soldier who lives 50 or more miles from the unit. Please fill out and return LIK Request and Statement of Understanding forms to go to SSG Hammel who is CC'd
on this email. She handles the lodging for the unit. Our next BA is 5- 6 March at the unit in Shoreham, NY so please ensure to turn in the form ASAP to get your hotel room.

If you are not able to make our BA, you will need to submit the attached Blank RST Form thru this chain of command so that it can be reviewed by our commander for approval. You are not authorized to drill with your previous unit unless you submitted this form and approved by the commander officially. Ensure you submit any supporting documentation along with the
RST form ie: (Positive Test Result for Covid19, School Schedule if BA
interferes with exams, work notice if BA interferes with work, Wedding invitation if you had pre-existing invitation or pre-purchased flight itinerary if you purchased tickets for travel prior to BA). Reschedules will be evaluated on a case by case basic.

NOTE: If you do not get properly excused, it will result in the commander giving you UNSATISFACTORY Codes U's. If you incur 9 or more U's in a 1 year period, it will result in your MGIB benefits being terminated/suspended as well as if you got paid a bonus payments it may result in recoupment of bonus. See last attachment of previous Soldiers we had to separate for being UNSAT. If anything please advise. Thank you:

New Soldiers: bring orders assigning you to the 579th, medical/dental records if you have them, Covid-19 vaccine cards if not uploaded in MEDPROS, DA 348 military driver's training abstract, prior military driver's licenses, military training certificates, ACH, eye-pro, and motivation

If you live over 50 or 150 miles from the unit and need lodging and mileage, contact us ASAP.

If you have a hotel room reserved and cannot make it battle assembly for whatever reason, contact us ASAP to cancel it. Failure to do so may suspend your lodging privledges and make you liable for the costs.

Next BA is FEB 5-6. See you then
