📢📢Shorewood Hills Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Event at Dane County Clean Sweep- Sept. 21st-26th 📢📢
Do you have unwanted cleaning chemicals, mercury thermometers, paints, stains, other household hazardous waste or small electronics that you're looking to dispose of? The Village of Shorewood Hills is excited to partner with Dane County Clean Sweep and the Madison Area Municipal Stormwater Partnership to offer our residents an opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste for only $5. This event is open to residents of the Village of Shorewood Hills only. 125 discounted $5 online vouchers for household hazardous waste disposal are available (normally $15/vehicle).
Vouchers must be obtained in advance and redeemed at the Dane County Clean Sweep Facility anytime during open business hours*, Monday, Sept. 21st-Saturday, Sept. 26th. Limit one per household. *Clean Sweep Hours: Mon.-Fri. 7:15 am-3:15 pm, Sat. 8 am-10:45 am, closed Sunday. Small electronics and up to one TV, computer monitor or microwave will also be accepted at this event (normally $15/TV or computer monitor and $10/microwave). Can’t make the Village of Shorewood Hills event? Dane County residents can dispose of household hazardous waste year-round at the Dane County Clean Sweep Facility during open hours ($15 disposal fee/vehicle). Do your part to keep hazardous substances out of our storm drains and waterways by properly disposing of household hazardous waste. Household hazardous waste should not be placed in curbside trash or recycling bins and should never be stored or disposed of outside. Abandoning hazardous wastes, even from households, is a State and Federal offense.
