🎉 You’re invited to celebrate an incredible milestone for Shorewood School District 6th graders on Thursday, June 4 from 11:30 AM–1:30 PM in the Village Center Meeting Room (Lower Level)! In partnership with the Smithsonian’s Democracy in Dialogue Initiative, students collaborated with peers in Hawaii and Virginia to create powerful sister quilts and murals exploring community, identity, and democracy.

Join us for the debut of these nationally recognized student projects, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, student-led exhibits, refreshments, and a collaborative community time capsule activity. We can’t wait to celebrate their creativity, leadership, and impact with you! 🎨✨

The library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25. We will be open again for regular hours on Tuesday, May 26 at 9:30 AM.

As a reminder, our summer hours start this weekend as well, and we'll be closed on Sundays throughout the summer. We'll be open again on Sundays after Labor Day, starting on Sunday, September 13. ☀️ Have a great summer, everyone!
