The position may be filled as two separate part-time positions or one full-time position.

Grab your calendars and mark the upcoming meetings in September!

The Village Board will be meeting on September 8 and September 22. Meetings are at 7 pm in the Village Hall Boardroom.

📺Village Board meetings can be viewed on Shorewood Community Cable Television. SCCTV broadcast is on Comcast Channel 6 throughout Shorewood and AT&T U-verse Channel 99 throughout Will County.

The countdown is on...

We're just 3 weeks away from Shorewood's OktoBREWfest! Head over to Cene's Four Seasons Park on Saturday, September 19, for live music, local brews, German fare, and good company.

Entry is free, and the first 100 kids to enter the tent will receive a goodie bag.

And this year, we get to enjoy the rescheduled fireworks at 8:30 pm!

It's going to be a good night, Shorewood. We hope to see you there.

The Shorewood Connection is going digital!

Beginning with the Fall 2026 Shorewood Connection, the Village’s quarterly newsletter is now available exclusively online.

Our quarterly updates won’t be going anywhere. We’ll still publish the same seasonal reminders, Village news, Parks and Recreation programs, and more. We’ll also continue to share the digital newsletter link on our social media pages, website, and in our weekly email so residents can easily find each issue.

And we’ll still be putting something in your mailbox! A quarterly postcard will be delivered to residents with a QR code that takes you directly to the latest issue of the Shorewood Connection.

Still prefer a paper copy? Limited copies will be available at Village Hall, Public Works, and the Police Department.

Bring unwanted electronics and cords, single-use and rechargeable household batteries, and small scrap metal items to Will County's electronics-only drop-off in Shorewood on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8 AM to 12 noon. No appointment is necessary! This event is free for all Will County residents.

Address: 304 Gregory Court, Shorewood, IL 60404

TVs (limit 3 per vehicle), computers, phones, gaming consoles, microwaves, and power tools are just some of the items accepted for recycling.

Come out for a night under the stars at Shorewood Park at the Village's 2026 Family Campout on Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12. Bring your tent, sleeping bag, camp essentials, and s'mores sticks (if you have them). Each family will be assigned a campsite with enough room for their tents and activities.

📍Cene's Four Seasons Park. Throughout the day, there is traditional German fare, live music, local brews, and more. The rescheduled fireworks show will take place at 8:30 PM.

Touch-A-Truck: October 3 @ 10 AM (Quiet hour 10 AM-11 AM)
📍Cene’s Four Seasons Park. Join us for a day to climb into the driver's seat of lots of cool trucks and meet the people who drive them.

Autumn Fest: October 18 @ 2 PM
📍Towne Center Park. Dress up in your favorite costume and celebrate the fall season with crafts, hayrides, trunk-or-treat, DJ entertainment, food available for purchase, and FREE pumpkins.
