🚓✨ We had the honor of helping make some students’ mornings extra special! ✨🚓

During the month of April, Troy schools held a “Safety Spotlight” challenge where students were recognized for making safety a priority each day. Teachers and staff awarded Safety Spotlights to students showing outstanding safe choices and positive behavior.

As a special reward, several students earned a ride to school in a real Shorewood Police Department squad car with one of our Officers! 👮‍♂️🚔

Our Officers had a great time meeting the students, sharing some laughs, and helping celebrate their accomplishments. The excitement and smiles were contagious!

We want to thank Troy schools for allowing us to be part of such a positive initiative and for the continued partnership and support we receive from the community. Working together to encourage and recognize our students makes a lasting impact, and we are proud to play a small role in it. 💙

All solicitors are required to wear a Shorewood Police Department issued name tag while in the community. Photos of the approved solicitors will also be posted.

• Do not feel obligated to open your door or make a purchase
• Never share personal or financial information
• Report any suspicious or concerning activity to local law enforcement immediately

Officer Friendly… Turtle Division 🐢🚓

Traffic Unit Officer Barlog responded to a very serious traffic situation involving one slow-moving pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway without a crossing guard. After a brief es**rt and zero resistance, the subject was safely relocated to the other side.

No citations issued.
No shell damage reported.

Turns out even the fastest responders sometimes have to slow down for the little things. 💙
