Stage 1 fire restrictions, effective tomorrow, May 19th, 2026 at 6 am.

Under Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, the following are prohibited:

🚫 Building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire (unless for cooking, warmth, or in a designated area)
🚫 Smoking outside of designated areas
🚫 Use of consumer fireworks
🚫 Use of explosive targets
🚫 Use of tracer round ammunition

What’s still allowed?

✅ Propane devices and grills that can be turned on and off
✅ Fires in approved developed campgrounds and designated areas
✅ Charcoal grills in backyard areas clear of debris

*As always, all open burn permits are void during restrictions.

We had a very special night tonight honoring all of the fallen officers from Navajo County. A beautiful evening, beautiful monument, and wonderful reunion with our fellow law enforcement partners and the families of those who have fallen.

Thank you to all who attended and joined us in honoring our heroes.

This week has been National Police Week, which is very important as we express appreciation to all those serving in such a noble profession.

However, today we conclude the week with National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Today we honor those who have fallen, but will never be forgotten. May God bless them and their families as we honor, thank, and always remember them.

Yesterday we had Chill with a Cop at Linden Elementary School. Thank you for having us and we hope everyone enjoyed their popsicle. Also, a special thank you to Walmart for the donation of the popsicles.
