⛏️ Ground has officially broken on Bayou Grande IV! 🎉

HACS is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of this brand-new senior housing community, made possible with support from the Choice Neighborhoods Grant. This development will bring 70 beautiful apartments — 56 one-bedrooms and 14 two-bedrooms — to seniors ages 55+ in our community.

Residents will enjoy amenities built for comfort and connection: a clubhouse, fitness center, quiet lounge, business center, wireless internet, mail center, and inviting outdoor spaces. Built to National Green Build standards, this community will be as energy-efficient as it is welcoming.

"Today's groundbreaking represents more than the start of construction," said CEO Bobby R. Collins. "It reflects our commitment to providing safe, quality affordable housing where seniors can enjoy a safe, supportive community surrounded by the neighbors and resources they value."

Construction is expected to take about 15 months, and we can't wait to watch this community come to life!
