These tech upgrades, funded almost entirely from private donations, will provide our officers with additional resources to help make arrests while also collecting additional evidence so we can keep those arrested for the worst offenses safely separated from our community.

Downtown Shreveport will soon be safer thanks to an initiative created to honor two Shreveport teens whose lives were taken in 2022. May God bless the Anglin & Myers families, and may God bless Shreveport.

As a City Councilman, and United States Air Force veteran, I am incredibly proud of our community for receiving this well-earned recognition.

Shreveport-Bossier City has been named a 2026 Great American Defense Community, one of only three communities in the nation selected for the designation this year by the Association of Defense Communities.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our partnership with the Shreveport-Bossier community,” said Col. Chris Cain, 2nd Bomb Wing commander.. “Having grown up here, I’ve seen firsthand the pride this community takes in supporting its Airmen within a complex global security environment. That unmatched support by our intentional and informed partners creates an outsized impact on the lives of our families while we execute the mission without fail.”
