LANE CLOSURES: Routine bridge inspection, Texas Street Bridge (US 80), Caddo Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that beginning on Monday, July 13, 2026, the following intermittent lane closures have been scheduled for the US 80 (Texas Street Bridge) over the Red River in Caddo & Bossier Parishes for the purpose of routine bridge inspection:

• Monday, July 13th to Wednesday, July 15th: Eastbound right lane closure, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day

• Thursday, July 16th to Friday, July 17th: Westbound right lane closure, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day

Routine bridge inspections are conducted on a regular cycle by specially trained inspectors. These operations are critical to identifying maintenance issues that should be addressed, and to ensuring the structures remain in service to the traveling public.

Please drive with caution through the bridge inspection zone, and remain alert for specialized equipment and crews that will be on site.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
