Shreveport Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Domestic Violence Suspect

Shreveport Police Department Domestic Violence Unit detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Deuteronomi Jernigan, who is wanted in connection with a violent domestic incident that occurred on April 9, 2026.

Jernigan is currently wanted for the following charges:

Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment
Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation
Domestic Abuse Battery with a Pregnant Victim

The investigation began after officers responded to a reported domestic violence incident involving Jernigan and an adult female victim. During the investigation, officers learned a two-year-old child was present during the altercation.

Investigators determined the child was exposed to the violence and that Jernigan allegedly wrapped his hands around the female victim’s neck, causing her to gag and cough due to the force applied. Detectives also reviewed video evidence from inside the residence that reportedly depicted an extremely violent encounter in which Jernigan struck the victim multiple times. The video further showed him going outside, removing a child’s car seat from a vehicle, and striking the victim in the face again.

Responding officers documented visible injuries sustained by the victim. Detectives also confirmed the victim was approximately six months pregnant at the time of the incident.

Due to the violent nature of this case, investigators are urging anyone with information regarding Jernigan’s whereabouts to contact the Shreveport Police Department immediately. Detectives believe locating him quickly is critical to preventing further violence.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-7300 or submit anonymous tips through Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

Woman Arrested Following Domestic Violence Incident and Home Invasion

On June 9, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Lakeshore Drive in reference to a domestic violence incident.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult male who was suffering from visible facial injuries consistent with an assault. The victim reported that the incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute regarding the transportation and custody of a child.

The investigation revealed that the suspect arrived at the residence and began aggressively kicking the front door. When the resident opened the door, the suspect allegedly forced her way inside and physically assaulted him, causing visible injuries.

Investigators further learned that the suspect entered the residence without permission and continued her aggressive behavior despite being advised that young children were inside the home.

During the incident, the suspect allegedly damaged property by throwing objects through a kitchen window. A juvenile who was inside the residence at the time was struck by glass and water from the shattered window. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit obtained warrants for 39-year-old Angelica Frazier, charging her with Home Invasion, Domestic Abuse Battery, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

Frazier was later located and taken into custody by the Bossier City Police Department before being transferred to Shreveport authorities.

In case you were thinking about drinking and driving tonight, we should probably let you know that Corporal Sullivan and Corporal Council are working.

Statistically speaking, this is not going to end well for you.

Call an Uber. Call a friend. Call your mom. Walk. Ride a bicycle. Stay where you are. These guys didn't become Louisiana's top DWI officers by accident.

Just don't make plans that include meeting these two gentlemen.

Financial Crimes Investigation Leads to Identity Theft and Theft Warrant

The Shreveport-Caddo Financial Crimes Task Force has obtained an arrest warrant for Sean Warren in connection with a stolen check and identity theft investigation.

The investigation began after a local business reported that a box of company checks had been stolen from its mailbox in early April 2026. Detectives determined that multiple stolen checks were later negotiated or presented for payment at financial institutions and retail locations throughout the area, resulting in financial losses.

Through surveillance footage, photographs, and additional investigative efforts, detectives identified a suspect who was observed using the stolen checks during several transactions. Investigators later confirmed that the individual whose identification was used was not involved in the offenses.

On June 11, 2026, investigators received a Crime Stoppers tip identifying Sean Warren as the suspect. Detectives corroborated the information through surveillance evidence, prior law enforcement encounters, and additional investigative findings linking Warren to the vehicle used during the offenses.

Based on the evidence gathered, an arrest warrant was obtained charging Sean Warren with:

• Theft (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67)
• Identity Theft (Louisiana Revised Statute 14:67.16)

The Shreveport-Caddo Financial Crimes Task Force reminds residents and business owners to regularly monitor financial accounts, secure incoming mail, and promptly report any suspicious activity involving checks, banking information, or personal identifying information.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a local hospital after a female victim arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

During the investigation, officers learned the shooting had occurred in the 7700 block of Linwood Avenue. The victim reported that she had been shot by her 16-year-old brother. Her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

The Violent Crimes Unit was notified, and the on-call investigator responded to continue the investigation. Patrol officers quickly located the juvenile suspect at his residence, where he was detained and transported to the Violent Crimes Office for questioning.

Due to the suspect’s age, his mother was contacted and responded to the detective’s office. Both the juvenile and his mother declined to provide a statement and requested legal counsel.

Shreveport Police Crime Scene Investigators also responded and collected items of evidentiary value related to the incident.

Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, the 16-year-old suspect was booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center on one count of Illegal Use of a Weapon and one count of Possession of a Handgun by a Juvenile.
