At the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, recovery means preparing for what comes next.
Through our Vocational Training Program, guests gain hands-on experience in areas like culinary services, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, reception, and customer service. They’re learning practical job skills while also building confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Because our goal isn’t simply to help someone survive homelessness, it’s to equip them to break the cycle and move toward lasting independence.
Every skill learned, every responsibility completed, and every hour of training is another step toward a job, stability, and a new future.
