United Way of Northwest Louisiana United Is The Way. We are a local, volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that focuses on improving lives through measurable initiatives and programs.

United way serves more than 30 nonprofit agencies with more than 65 programs in Caddo, Bossier, Bienville, Red River, Desoto, Webster, Winn, Sabine, Natchitoches and Claiborne parishes. September 11 is a day to honor the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the communities that came together in the face of tragedy.

The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance reminds us that one of the most meaningful ways to honor that legacy is by serving others and strengthening the communities we call home.

Join us for a special screening of 9 to 5 as we come together to celebrate Dolly Parton’s life, legacy and the joy she brought to so many.

As we celebrate Dolly, we also have an opportunity to help carry her legacy forward right here in Northwest Louisiana. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, United Way of Northwest Louisiana helps bring free, age-appropriate books directly to the homes of children across our region each month.

Every team has that one person everyone knows to call when something isn’t working—and for us, that’s Mr. Rance.

Whether it’s a technical issue, a computer acting up, or something we just can’t figure out, he’s always there to help, troubleshoot, and get us back on track. We truly would be lost without him!

Thank you, Mr. Rance, for always being there when we need you and for keeping things running behind the scenes. We appreciate all that you do for our team.

Did you know Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is right here in Northwest Louisiana? 📚

United Way of Northwest Louisiana helps facilitate the program locally, connecting approximately 6,700 children across our region with a free, age-appropriate book delivered to their home every month.

That means thousands of little readers across Northwest Louisiana are opening their mailboxes each month to find a book with their name on it.

Dolly believed in the power of a book and the possibilities it can open for a child. Through the Imagination Library, that vision continues right here at home—helping build strong early literacy foundations and giving local children the opportunity to enter kindergarten ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

We recently celebrated Kim as she wrapped up her time with United Way of Northwest Louisiana—and got to celebrate her birthday with her, too! 🎂

Over the years, Kim has poured so much into our community, building relationships, connecting people to resources, and helping advance the work we do across Northwest Louisiana. Her impact has been felt in so many ways, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she has brought to United Way NWLA.

While we’ll definitely miss having her on our team, we’re excited to see what this next chapter holds for her.
