Exciting things are happening for Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce as they temporarily relocate during the next phase of renovations to their longtime home on Edwards Street.
We’re thankful for their continued investment in Downtown Shreveport and their commitment to preserving and enhancing this historic downtown space. We’re excited to watch the progress and celebrate this next chapter with them.
Moving Day Is Here — A New Chapter for the Chamber Building
Today marks a milestone for our Chamber — we’re officially moving out of our building so the real transformation can begin.
After months of planning, it’s finally happening. We’re relocating across the street so that the next — and biggest — phase of our Chamber Building renovation can get underway.
A quick heads-up: Our team will be offline for the first half of the week while we get settled and reestablish our internet connections. We expect to be fully back online by Wednesday. Our phone numbers and email addresses aren’t changing — just our view out the window for a little while.
Our new temporary address will be - 416 Travis Street, Suite 505.
This move is the next major step in a top-to-bottom renovation that’s already well underway. We’ve replaced the roof and installed new drainage to keep the basement dry. Now comes the big stuff:
*Brand-new elevator
*Complete HVAC replacement
*Restored lobby and windows
*Renovated meeting rooms and first-floor restrooms
*A new multimedia boardroom and studio
*A warming kitchen
*Updated carpets, wall coverings, and office space
When we’re done, the Chamber Building will be a convening and meeting space like no other in our region — a home worthy of the community it serves.
This is a transformational investment in Shreveport’s future, and we need your help to make it happen. If you’d like to be part of bringing this vision to life, we’d love to hear from you.
