As part of Shreveport’s America 250 celebration, we’re lacing up for the 2nd Annual Squirrel Scramble 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Querbes Golf Course !

Whether you’re racing for your best time or just scrambling for fun, this patriotic run is packed with:
🏃 Flat, shaded course under Querbes’ iconic oak trees
🥇 Finisher medals & t-shirts for participants
🍳 Breakfast, door prizes & squirrel bait
🥤 Soft drinks, water & beer
🎉 Family-friendly fun with red, white, and blue spirit

Fun Run starts at 7:30 a.m.
5K begins at 7:45 a.m.

Before the music starts, before the crowds arrive, and before the first photo is taken, there’s a dedicated team working behind the scenes to make it all happen.

As we look back on an incredible Red, White, and Boom - Shreveport's America 250 Kick-off Party - we want to take a moment to recognize SPAR's Event Services team. These hardworking employees spent countless hours preparing the Red River District, hanging patriotic decorations, setting up event spaces, and making sure everything was ready to welcome families from across our community.

Their work often happens out of the spotlight, but it plays a vital role in creating the experiences our residents enjoy. From community events and festivals to recreation programs and special celebrations, this team helps bring countless events to life throughout the year.

Thank you to our Event Services staff for your dedication, hard work, and pride in serving the City of Shreveport. We appreciate everything you do to make our city a place where great memories are made.
