Shelby County Board of Elections Last day to register to vote is Monday, April 6 at 9:00 p.m. Early in-person voting starts April 7th at 8:00 a.m.

at the Board Office with extended hours leading up to the May 5th Election Day.

There is not a May 2023 election in Shelby County, Ohio. General election date is November 7, 2023.

The Shelby County Board of Elections has announced the hiring of Drew Higgins as it’s new Deputy Director. He will officially assume his duties on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Higgins served previously as Director of the Miami County Board of Elections. His career has also included associate team leadership roles with Airstream Corp and Honda of America. He has also held technical and administrative positions with the Miami County Courts drug testing lab in Troy.

Higgins resides with his wife and five children in the Anna area. He is a member of Heiland Post 446 of the American Legion. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Wright State University in 2015.

The office will re-open Wednesday, December 28th at 8:30 am. through Friday, December 30th, at noon.
