Crawford Serving Humanities is thrilled to host America's Freedom Tribute over September 9-12, 2026. Their 80% replica wall of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and their Cost of Freedom Tribute will be on display at the Crawford Ball Fields, offering the "community with an incredible opportunity to pay RESPECT to our veterans, HONOR the fallen, and REMEMBER the sacrifice made by so many in service of our great country," as America's Freedom Tribute so beautifully describes it.

As area students prepare to head back to school within the next couple of weeks, our office is honored to help support the children of local veteran families.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor in Sidney, assistance is available for back-to-school needs such as:

🚌 Bus passes
📘 Other essential school-related items

If you're a veteran with school-aged children and could use a little extra help this school year, please reach out! We're here to support those who have served and that includes their families.

The Cheyenne County Fair & Rodeo is having their 1st Responders Night, tomorrow, July 21.

Come in uniform or show ID and receive free admission and drink to the Monster Truck Bash.

Join us Wednesday, July 22 at 7 PM for the Monster Truck Bash during the Cheyenne County Fair!

To honor the men and women who serve and protect our communities and our country, all military personnel, veterans, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and other first responders will receive:

🥤 ONE free drink on us

Simply show your credentials at the ticket window or come dressed in uniform to claim your free ticket.

The Cheyenne County Veterans Service Office is looking for dedicated volunteers to drive our DAV van, transporting area veterans to the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. Just a couple of days a month can make a huge difference. We work with your availability and provide your schedule months in advance making it easy to plan around your commitments.

The Cheyenne County Veterans Service Office will be closed tomorrow (Friday, July 3), in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen during our regular business hours on Monday.

This year, our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, a milestone made possible by generations of Americans who answered the call to serve. As you gather with family and friends, watch the fireworks, or fly the flag, remember that the liberties we enjoy today were earned through courage, sacrifice, and an unwavering love of country.

Freedom isn't free. It has been defended by the men and women who stood ready to protect this nation, many giving more than anyone should ever have to give.

This Fourth of July, celebrate proudly. Fly your flag high. Teach the next generation why this day matters. And if you see a veteran, take a moment to thank them for being part of America's story.
