Today we are highlighting a belated birthday but so much more. Mike isn't just a resident at Mercy Mission House but is a mentor to many. We've asked him to help provide fellowship, guidance and mentor new residents.

Mike is always offering to help by volunteering for events, doing extra chores and helping anyone in need.

Many of the Mercy Mission House residents needing shelter are dealing with past trauma and undiagnosed, untreated mental health disorders. When someone suffers from a mental health disorder, it impacts every aspect of their life. We will continue to work to connect residents with mental health providers and strive for consistency in treatment with a goal of stabilization.

Today, we honored the life of a past resident gone too soon. Thank you to everyone who put in the hard work to provide food and fellowship to many who will miss Billy.

His stone was placed in the memorial garden at the shelter right in the light where he loved to be.
