The Sidney Town Board will hold its 2nd Budget Workshop for the 2027 Town Budget on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Community members are welcome to attend and learn more about the budget planning process. We encourage all interested residents to join us!

The Sidney Town Board has a Public Hearing scheduled for Thursday, September 10th, at 6:30 to discuss expanding the Senior Exemption. The Regular meeting will follow.

It’s a Town tax exemption for seniors whose gross combined household income is below around $34,000 a year there is a sliding scale so that there is more benefits the lower the income is . More details will be available at the hearing . the current income maximum level is $13,999. This would expand/ the maximum income to be eligible for benefits to up around $34,000 . hope this helps thank you.

Town Clerk’s office will be closed Friday September 4th due to a family matter and Monday September 7th for Labor Day!

Reminder! There are 2 Public Hearings on Local Laws for Data Center Moratorium and Battery Storage Moratorium tomorrow Thursday 13th starting at 6:00p.m. followed by the regular Board Meeting at 7:00p.m.
