World Champion Bull Rider to Visit Chadron
Chadron, NE – World Championship Bull Rider Charlie Sampson will be in Chadron February 21 and 22, 2013, speaking to students and the public as part of the College’s celebration of Black History Month. Sampson, a native of California who used horses as a way to escape the violence that surrounded him, will be sharing his inspirational story with the public on Thursday, February 21, in Memorial Hall on campus of Chadron State College. Doors will open to the public at 7 p.m. Tickets are not required.
Laure Sinn, co-organizer of the Sampson’s visit to Chadron said, “I was SO excited to talk to him directly and hear his enthusiasm about coming to Chadron and being a part of our week’s activities.” In addition to his public presentation, Sampson will be speaking to students at the Western District History Day Competition and the CSC Rodeo Team. Sampson will also be attending the “Black Tie Calf Fry,” the CSC Rodeo team fundraiser Friday night.
