🚨 MYTH vs FACT 🚨

Accidentally calling 911 happens more than you think… 👀

👉 You are NOT in trouble.

But here’s the important part—
don’t hang up.

When you stay on the line, we can quickly make sure you’re okay and move on to the next call.

When you hang up… we have to make sure it’s not an emergency—and that can take time away from someone who may need help.

💬 Be honest… did you know this before?

🚨 It’s National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 🚨

You may never meet them… but they may be there for you on your worst day.

From life-saving instructions to coordinating responders—
dispatchers are the calm voice when everything else feels out of control.

At CCECC, we’re proud of the team behind the headsets 🎧

đź’¬ Have you ever had to call 911?
(You don’t have to share details—just a 💙 helps us show appreciation)

You hopefully know to call if you have a sick or dead bird in your yard or around town, here are things to also keep in mind for our furry friends who may also come in to contact and how to help prevent it in the first place.

Bird flu viruses mainly spread among wild birds & domestic poultry but can spread to other animals.

Update** It appears that the issues are resolved and voip calls should have no issues at this time.**
We have been notified that there are reported issues with VIOP calls reaching 911. This is a multistate issue and is being worked on as quickly as possible. Again this is for VOIP calls and not cell calls or traditional landlines.

As a reminder, we will be testing the outdoor weather sirens today at 10:00, even though it is overcast. It is critical to public safety to ensure they are functioning properly. We did also check with the NWS and there is no severe weather expected during that time. Thank you for your understanding and support!

This week, we will resume our weekly outdoor emergency warning system testing on Wednesday at 10 am. Although some may have preferred monthly testing, the test aims to ensure all sirens function correctly when required. Weekly testing enables prompt issue resolution. 📣🔔💡
