Most City facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, for the Labor Day holiday. Monday's trash pickup will shift to Tuesday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday's pickup will shift to Wednesday, Sept. 9. There will be no special pickups that Wednesday.

Get ready for the 30th Annual Oktoberfest with a special pre-game video all about hammerschlagen! If you’ve never played, it’s simple: each player gets a nail and a hammer, and the goal is to be the first to drive your nail in with the fewest swings. Watch, learn, and get ready to test your aim before the game, which will be available from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12. You won’t want to miss this fun new addition to the City’s Oktoberfest!

Join Sierra Vista Police Department personnel at Vinny's New York Pizza on Monday, Sept. 14, as they take "serve and protect" to a whole new level! SVPD officers will act as celebrity servers and hosts, collecting "tips" from customers to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arizona. A portion of the restaurant's sales from the day will also support this cause. Order dine-in or carry-out and support a great cause either way!

UPDATE (12:20 p.m.): The backflow for the restrooms and water fountains is broken. There will be no water to the restrooms or fountains until further notice.

The restrooms at Tompkins Park are currently closed due to a water leak. Staff anticipate services to be restored and facilities reopened by approximately noon today.
