Signal Mountain Fire Department Red Shift responded to a reported motor vehicle collision with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, crews found a two-vehicle crash with one patient trapped inside a vehicle that had overturned onto its roof.

Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle and successfully extricated the patient. The patient was then transferred to EMS personnel for treatment.

In the early hours of Friday morning, the SMFD was alerted to a reported structure fire in the 200-block of James Blvd. Crews arrived to find a detached garage involved in fire. The fire was quickly knocked down and overhaul was completed to ensure extinguishment. There were no injuries.

⚠️ ROAD CLOSURES ⚠️

Due to flooding, W Road is closed until further notice. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

UPDATE: FRONT IS OPEN 6:56 pm

In addition, Signal Mountain Blvd on the Chattanooga side is temporarily closed while crews from the City of Chattanooga work to clear debris from the roadway.

Stay Safe today and use caution if you have to get out!
We will update here when Signal Mountain Blvd is cleared.
