Mrs. Hartlein’s 6th Grade ELA classes recently completed their Black History Autobiography Research Project, and we could not be more proud of the hard work, curiosity, and creativity these students showed!
Each student researched an influential figure in Black history. Through their work, they explored important contributions, challenges, and achievements that helped shape our world.
From athletes and activists to scientists, artists, and leaders, these students brought history to life through thoughtful writing and engaging presentations. Their dedication to learning and honoring these powerful stories was truly inspiring.

Our students did an amazing job competing in the Mission.io 2026 League, a global STEM competition where classrooms work together to solve real-world challenges through interactive missions. Students used teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while working through exciting story-driven tasks.

We are proud to share that our team is currently #3 in the world on the leaderboard! They earned a perfect 100% on the challenges and scored an incredible 175,986 total points (an average of 6,518 points per student).
A special shout-out to Eben Brink, our top scorer with over 7,000 points!

We will find out the final placements in April—great job representing our school!

Our students show their school spirit loud and proud on Fridays as they sing “The Red and Black,” recite the pledge, and cheer through our SMS chant!

There is nothing better than hearing our students come together with confidence, pride, and positive energy. ❤️🖤 Check out the videos (2 videos in the comments) to feel the spirit and excitement for yourself — we are so proud of them!
