Adopt-A-Grandparent

Last and certainly not least. This year we started a new initiative to help build awareness and recognize the Foster Grandparents for the work that they do. We reached out to several businesses in our service area and asked if they would help us stuff stockings for grandparents who go into schools each day to tutor and mentor youth. We received so much support and would like to acknowledge those who participated.

The most entertaining part of the event was when the grandparents played the two gift wrap games. They said they worked up more of a sweat playing these two games than a full day of volunteering, lol. But, they all said they'd love to do it again.

Switch, Steal, Unwrap

The grandparents had a great time with this gift exchange game last year and requested we bring it back this year. Everyone was encouraged to bring a gift that would make everyone laugh. Among this years gifts were loafers made if a load of bread, rotten teeth and tooth paste, and a bed pan with a roll of tissue paper and stool softener.

Food, Friends, and Fun

The entertainment started early at this year's Christmas Recognition Dinner. We started the fun with door prizes. Among the prizes were a brand new washer and dryer set, a Hefty rain coat, and brand new Eye Pads for everyone. All featured below.
