8/26/26 - TRAFFIC NOTICE: Today, MATHEWS AVE will be closed to traffic at the intersection of MATHEWS AVE and S PRAIRIE ST for the installation of a new sewer tap.
The closure may remain in place through Friday afternoon. Please use an alternate route and use caution around crews working in the area. Thank you for your patience!

@ 1:20PM - ⚡️POWER OUTAGE: BMU crews have tripped a circuit, causing an outage on the south end of town. Our substation and line crews are working to get the circuit back online, and we expect the outage to be brief. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience!

8/20/2026 @ 11AM UPDATE: This work will continue into Friday, August 21. The street should be back to normal by the end of the workday Friday!
8/19/26 TRAFFIC ALERT: The southbound lane of BROADWAY ST in the 400 block, between OKLAHOMA AVE and ABLES RD, will be closed to through traffic beginning tomorrow, August 20, for the installation of a new water tap. 💧Crews expect to have the lane reopened by the end of the day. Please use caution and an alternate route if possible. We appreciate your patience while crews complete this work.

@ 12:40pm - POWER OUTAGE We will be cutting power to the Helen Street feeder shortly to facilitate an important repair to get everyone that was previously without power back on. This outage is expected to last approximately 10–15 minutes.

UPDATE 8/14/26 @ 1PM - DYE ST is now OPEN to through traffic. Thank you for your patience while crews completed the sanitary sewer work in the area!
Thursday, August 13 through Friday, August 14 - Road Closure
DYE ST will be closed to through traffic on Thursday, August 13, due to sanitary sewer work. DYE ST will remain closed through Friday, August 14, to complete new water and sewer taps. Please use an alternate route and use caution around crews and equipment. Thank you!
