š¤Our voices belong in the rooms where decisions are made!
A few weeks ago, Deputy Director, Kiara Aranda, stepped up to the mic at the North Carolina General Assembly to speak up for our Latine students, families, and the public schools that serve them.
With more than 1.2 million Latines calling North Carolina home and Latine students making up 20% of our stateās public school population, the stakes are real. Our students deserve access to the resources and support they need to thrive, and our communities deserve a voice in the decisions that shape their futures.
As Kiara reminded us, what could be possible if every student had access to someone in their corner? What could our schools do if educators and students had the resources they needed?
These questions arenāt just about whatās possible in our schools today, but what we choose to invest in for tomorrow. And thatās where our voices and our votes matter.
