Back Yard Debris Burning is reopening today Tuesday, October 5, 2021. You are required to have a permit to burn yard debris. We have an online burn permit process, if you would like, you may come to the Fire Department and fill out a burn permit as well. Thank you for your patience during the burn ban. We ask you to use caution still while burning and be courteous to your neighbors when burning yard debris.

Please be aware, backyard burn season has not yet reopened. Thankfully we’ve had some moisture, but we are not quite out of the woods.

Even though ODF has now lowered the fire danger, There is still a Lincoln county burn ban in place. Please keep this in mind. If it does not possess a on/off valve it is not to be used.

There seems to be some confusion on if you can burn yet or not. Yes as of right now Oregon Department of Forestry has dropped to HIGH fire danger. BUT, the Lincoln County Fire Defense Board is still in a COMPLETE COUNTY BURN BAN until further notice. Please do not hesitate to call the Siletz Fire District with questions 541-444-2043 Office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9-4 right now.

There will be a Special Board Meeting Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 12:45. The meeting will be held at the fire station, 149 W Buford Ave, Siletz OR 97380. The purpose of the meeting will be to enter into executive session for the purpose of interviewing fire chief candidates.
