Silsbee ISD is closely monitoring the weather and staying in communication with local emergency management officials and meteorologists regarding any potential impacts to our area.

At this time, there are no changes to our regular school schedule. School will continue as usual.

Should anything change, we will communicate updates with our families as quickly as possible through our district communication channels.

To our parents/guardians,
We want to share a quick update regarding our district’s Academic Calendar.

There will be no school for students on Friday, September 4, 2026.

We are currently working on facility improvements at our middle school campus, and adding this day allows our construction teams to complete the majority of the project while students are safely off campus. As a reminder, the district will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

Our goal is to get these improvements wrapped up as quickly and safely as possible.

We truly appreciate your flexibility, continued support, and understanding as we work to improve our schools.

Meet Our Newest Tiger, Melissa Myers!

Melissa is joining the district as our new Educational Diagnostician for our PPCD - 1st grade students. She will join the teams at Laura Reeves Primary and Silsbee Elementary.

We're so excited to have her at Silsbee ISD and can't wait to see the positive impact she will make on students!
