🦁 The Library is so proud of our Cowardly Lion!

Our very own Connor had the audience laughing all night long with his hilarious portrayal of the Cowardly Lion. He absolutely stole the show!

If you missed opening night (though with a packed house, there may not have been many seats left!), you still have two chances to catch this fantastic production today—at 2:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM.

📍 Lundgren Elementary School
1020 NE Forest Avenue, Topeka

Enjoy a few photos from opening night, and congratulations to Connor and the entire cast on a wonderful performance! 🌈🦁✨

❤️ THE HEART BEHIND THE LIBRARY ❤️

Some people fill a position.

Some people fill a building with life.

Alexandra and Emily brought heart, creativity, warmth, laughter, kindness, and genuine care into our little library and our community. Their impact cannot be measured simply by programs, books, or job titles — because what they truly created was connection.

And while this chapter is coming to a close, they will be gone… but certainly not forgotten.

So for three days — May 27, 28 & 29 — we want to fill the library with love for the two women who gave so much of themselves to it.

📚 “Checked Out… But Never Forgotten” 📚

Stop by anytime Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday to:
💌 Drop off a card
💐 Bring flowers
🍪 Leave a treat
📖 Share a favorite memory or story

If you’d especially like to catch them in person, these are the best times:

❤️ Emily
Wednesday, May 27 | 2:00 PM

❤️ Alexandra
Wednesday | 2:00 PM
Thursday | 3:00 PM
Friday | 2:00 PM

Let’s cover this library in hearts, gratitude, memories, and kindness — and remind these two amazing women that what they built here mattered.

Because good people leave fingerprints behind long after they’re gone.

And these two left their hearts all over this library. ❤️

What a pleasure it was to have Ruth Maus join us last night to visit with our group about her writing journey, impart her wisdom, and leave the library her books so that we could continue to share her work.
