We’re excited to share some great news with our Wilmot Stage Stop community!

‍Please join us in welcoming John Kubsch as the new OWNER of the Wilmot Stage Stop. He worked with Chad & Ali when Stage Stop first opened and is excited to return as GM.

John brings fresh energy, leadership, and a deep appreciation for what makes Wilmot Stage Stop such a special place for both the community and keeping the legacy alive!

He is looking forward to getting to know our guests, partners, and neighbors, and to building on the traditions you know and love—while also exploring new ways to make every visit even better.

John says, "Reopening the Wilmot Stage Stop isn’t just about unlocking the doors again...it’s about honoring more than 170 years of memories while creating new traditions for families and friends. I'm extremely proud to bring this historic gathering place back to life, keep the legacy strong, and welcome everyone back to the table."

A few major updates to the menu include adding Garlic Green Beans as a vegetable option and bringing back a wedge of butter on the baked potatoes.

Today I was sworn in as a Commissioner for the Kenosha County Civil Service Commission! I’m beyond grateful for the appointment to the commission from Kenosha County Executive Kerkman and the entirety of the County Board for their approval. I look forward to continuing to serve all of Kenosha County in this capacity.

For those that do not know this is the purpose of the Civil Service Commission:
Pursuant to the authority granted in Chapters 59 and 63 of the Wisconsin Statutes, the Kenosha County Board of Supervisors created Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code of Kenosha County, thereby establishing the Kenosha County Civil Service Commission, to provide an equitable system of recruitment, selection, promotion, and retention for sworn Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department employees.
