The current use table lists 18 different types of office uses (i.e. "offices, business" "offices, insurance claims" "offices, professional" etc). We've suggested narrowing this down to three office types: "offices, business or professional" "offices, medical or dental" and "offices, research & development". What do you think? Is that too narrow? Too broad?

There are a total of eleven zones in the zoning ordinance that are not mapped at all in the County. Is that really necessary?

Montgomery County has a total of 120 zones. To put this in a local context, Prince George's has 58 zones, DC has 49 zones and Arlington has 37 zones. Like this comment if you think its time to go on a Zone diet!

the Zoning Code Rewrite Team hosted two open houses to update the public on the status of the project and gather feedback. The first was held Tuesday evening at M-NCPPC headquarters and the second was held midday Wednesday at the Rockville library. The two events attracted nearly 100 attendees who walked around several learning stations, asked questions of staff and filled out comment cards.
