Clinical trials, also called studies, are done to see if a new vaccine or medication can help people with a medical problem, from things as common as a headache or more serious diseases or infections. Additionally, these studies can be used to determine if new tests can accurately diagnose certain diseases, while limiting false positive results in otherwise healthy people. The Clinical Trials Cent
er (CTC) works with military and civilian doctors who are developing new products for both the soldier and public at large. These studies may use investigational drugs or vaccines, or examine the effectiveness and accuracy of new diagnostic tests. In order for these studies to be successful, we need healthy volunteers to participate.
