The Argyle Guild was forged in the campaigns of Clinton, Bush and Perot in the late 90's. We met weekly and followed a process where you had to argue the other side sometimes and the balance between points-of-view was iron-clad.
Plus, the group kept speakers on topic and courteous without saying a thing. We used argyles.
