🗑🚗💨Simpson's Scenic Sweep 🚗💨🗑

✨We had an amazing turnout last year and hope for the same this year! As part of Louisiana's Love The Boot Week, we invite you, your family, your church group, your club/civic organization, and all of our community members to participate in this year’s clean up event to help keep our Community and our State beautiful on April 18, 2026.

📌Our main goal is to walk Highway 8 from Shadywood Drive (coming into Simpson), past The Store, and stopping at the bridge by The Burn's residence on Highway 8 (headed towards the ballpark.) Depending on the amount of volunteers that sign in that morning additional side roads will be available to pick from.

🗑Trash bags and latex gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own gloves though! We also will have a limited supply of volunteer tshirts provided to us from the State. Check in at Village Hall at 8:45am to receive these items and to select the area you would like to walk. No specific required distance, walk as much or little as you like and when your bag is full, leave it on the side of the road and we will pick it up.

You can sign up to volunteer in advance by filling out the google form below OR simply show up the morning of!

Dale is still at it making Gumbo and we will be at the school tomorrow evening supporting our Lady Broncos and Broncos! We encourage our community to come out for the Lady Broncos Championship Ring Ceremony at 5pm before tipoff at 5:30pm! We will have dinner waiting for you!

*Not coming to the game, no worries, you can drive thru and pick up your order to go! Call or text your order and arrival time to the number on the flyer and we will have it ready for you!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Simpson Christmas parade, thank you to those in the parade, thank you to everyone who came to the school for gumbo, pics with Santa and his Crew, made ornaments, and shopped in Santa’s Workshop, and thank you to our Volunteers! We appreciate you all and your continued support of our community events.

HEY HEY!!! IT'S PARADE DAY! Come out and wave to Santa and visit us at the school afterwards for our community gumbo fundraiser! Pictures with Santa, Kids can shop for a gift for their caregiver, make an ornament or take it home to make, and of course watch the Grinch movie starting at 4pm! Be sure to bring a chair and a warm blanket!

Folks only wanting gumbo can "drive thru" and pick it up to go!

We hope to see you there and appreciate your continued support for our community events!
