Over the past year, both individuals have dedicated themselves to the rigorous training, coursework, and field experience required for this accomplishment. During last C shift, crews responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a building. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a vehicle had struck two houses. The units on scene successfully shored and stabilized both structures. No injuries were reported.

We started Fire Prevention Month off strong with a smoke alarm blitz. Simpsonville firefighters along with support from members of the American Red Cross, the South Carolina State Fire Marshals Office, and The Home Depot. We knocked on 115 doors and installed 109 smoke alarms! While those numbers seem impressive, we only made contact with about half of the neighborhood. But, dont worry, we left door hangers with a phone number to call to get them installed. We are thankful for the generous donation of 120 smoke alarms from Simpsonville Home Depot. Thank you to those that came and spent their morning helping us make our community safer. Fire Safe SC

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Craig Williams, Lieutenant Samuel Mauney, and Lieutenant Paul Patrikis on completing the South Carolina State Firefighters' Association Fire Officers Academy. Our 3 Lieutenants spent the last week at the SC Fire Academy completing this rigorous program, learning advanced firefighter techniques and leadership skills. They were selected for this extremely competive program from firefighters throughout the state, completing countless hours of work to be considered. We are proud of their dedication to bettering themselves, our department and our community.

SMOKE ALARM BLITZ in Ambergate subdivision this weekend October 3rd!! We will be going door to door along with the Red Cross, Home Depot, and the SC State Fire Marshals Office checking, replacing, and installing smoke alarms. Be on the lookout for us on Saturday morning, we will be starting between 9 and 10AM.
