🚒 EMERGENCY VEHICLE DRIVERS TRAINING COURSE 🚑
Ever wanted to be the one behind the wheel when the sirens start wailing? Your chance is officially here.

Driving lights and sirens all over town is easily one of the most exciting parts of the job, but it also comes with massive responsibility. This course uses the gold-standard VFIS Emergency Vehicle Driver Training program to give you the keys, the confidence, and the certified skills you need to safely command the streets and protect your community. Ready to start your driving journey? Let’s roll.

All standard apparatuses including ambulances, fire apparatuses, rescue vehicles, and other emergency response vehicles are welcome.

📅 When: August 29 & 30, 2026 (Attendance on both days is required)
💵 Cost: $100 per participant
🗓️ Registration Deadline: August 25

🕒 Schedule & Locations:
Saturday, August 29 (Classroom Session)
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: St. Marys Area Ambulance Service (773 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA 15857)

Sunday, August 30 (Driving Course)
Begins at 9:45 AM
Location: Crystal Fire Department Training Grounds

💻 What You’ll Need:
• A laptop or tablet capable of connecting to the internet (required for the written examination).
• A valid email address for course registration.

Bonus: This course is approved for 12 Hours of Con-Ed for EMS Providers!

As EMS Week comes to a close, We want to take a moment to thank every EMT, Paramedic, firefighter, and first responder who answers the call — day or night, no matter the circumstances. This week is a reminder of the dedication, sacrifice, compassion, and teamwork that exists within EMSevery single day. It truly takes a special kind of person to do this job.

A very special thank you to Breanna Ullman from SMAAS for organizing the Adopt a Provider event. The amount of time, effort, coordination, and heart that went into making this event such a success did not go unnoticed. As a paramedic herself, she went above and beyond to make others feel appreciated during EMS Week, and that means more than words can say.

Thank you to everyone who donated, participated, supported providers, and helped make EMS Week special. The support from the community was incredible, and it was amazing to see so many providers recognized for everything they do.
